SSP is designed for operational clarity, legal confidence, and ease of use — no installation dependencies, no server setup, and no technical overhead. Schools simply download the lightweight executable, launch the tool, and begin configuring their subject selection environment immediately.

The onboarding process is simple and intuitive: schools first create or import their subject offerings, then bulk-import learner details using the provided template. Before going live, an end date is selected to define the active duration of the campaign. SSP enforces a minimum usage threshold of 20 learners for at least 7 days to ensure fair billing and system integrity.

Once configured, schools can go live and begin capturing subject selections — even before payment is made. This allows institutions to validate their setup and preview the selection process without financial commitment. However, picked data cannot be exported until payment has been received in full. This ensures transparency while protecting the integrity of the platform.

SSP operates on a transparent pay-as-you-go model — there are no contracts, no subscriptions, and no long-term commitments. Pricing is calculated automatically based on the number of learners and the selected duration. Full cost estimates are presented before activation, and payment is only required if the school chooses to proceed with data export or premium features.

The platform supports both administrator-driven and learner-side selection workflows, with built-in validation, audit trails, and export-ready reporting. All data is securely stored in a dedicated Azure-based virtual database, ensuring POPIA compliance and institutional control. AJ-Marais does not access or repurpose learner data, and no information is stored on the SSP website or app servers.

Once activated, schools retain full control over their data and workflow. Subject selections are editable during the assigned time window, after which learner information is securely deleted. Subject picks may be retained for school reporting or administrative reference.
